Journey to healthcare

Dr. Katherine’s journey into healthcare was almost inevitable—she grew up surrounded by a family of dedicated healthcare providers. Though medical school was once on her radar, her true passion lay in building meaningful, one-on-one relationships with patients. It was her collegiate team doctor who steered her toward physical therapy, a path that immediately resonated.

She earned her Doctor of Physical Therapy from A.T. Still University in Mesa, Arizona, graduating in 2015. Katherine began her career in the Intensive Care Unit at a Level 1 trauma center, where she treated some of Arizona’s most medically complex patients. This demanding environment shaped her commitment to compassionate, patient-centered care—an approach that became deeply personal during her own family’s health crisis.

Motivation & Inspiration

In August 2018, shortly after Katherine’s 28th birthday, her mother Valerie was diagnosed with stage 4 breast cancer. Just five months later, in January 2019, Valerie passed away after a courageous and faith-filled fight. Throughout her treatment, Valerie often said, “V is for Victory”—a phrase that became a powerful symbol of strength and hope for Katherine’s family, and the inspiration behind Victory Therapy.

Motivated by her mother’s legacy, Katherine found her calling in oncology rehabilitation. With over a decade of experience in critical care and oncology rehab, she brings empathy, clinical expertise, and personalized, evidence-based care to every patient she serves. Her work is fueled by a mission to fill the gaps she witnessed in the traditional healthcare system—especially for individuals navigating cancer recovery.

Katherine also believes in a holistic approach to healing that integrates conventional and functional medicine. Outside of the clinic, she lives a life rooted in wellness, movement, and balance—striving to be the healthiest version of herself for her family, and the most present and passionate provider for her patients.
